Remember subjecting your purse to flash photography?  Well, minus the flash.  Many of you laughed and wondered aloud.. WHY?!  Mostly for fun but I’ve also put together a collage of purses to put on the website and possibly the women’s bulletin board at church.

As God creates each of us differently and all our own… so it is with our purses.  There was not ONE duplicate purse!  A purse isn’t just a purse- some had lots of buckles and others were overflowing with the necessities of life!  All unique, just as we are!  Made wonderfully by our Creator for His specific purposes!  As I was thinking on the amazing diversity that surrounds us, I was reminded of these verses from Psalm 139.  How precious we are to Him!

The last three lines make me smile as God knew where we would all be March, 17th 2012.  Thank you for making that day special with your presence!

Did you get our invitation in the bulletin today?  Did you catch any spelling errors?  Did you try to say “Purseonalitea” over and over, with different pronunciations, or was it clear at first glance?  Eyes fixed on this ‘word’ for weeks now, I have immunity.  Wondering what fresh eyes see, I asked my dear husband,

“What does this say?”

“Personality!”  He initially exclaimed but then continued on with silly and ridiculous pronunciations.

I hope we have not turned you off with our horrible spelling but can see the fun we desire to have with each other.  The husband suggested I should post the definition for clarity.  Hesitant, I asked him what he thought it meant.

“Women with purses.  Getting to know each other, personally, over tea.”

With a good laugh, I agreed.  Simple and a little silly but I believe this playfulness captures the mood.  Looking forward to seeing your smiling faces March 17th.  Almost forgot!  Some women don’t carry purses (at times, that is me!) we still want you!  It’s not really about the purses…

Tickets are $17 each.  The day includes a light breakfast, lunch and dinner.  There will be three sessions and each individual church will break into small group(s) after each session for discussion and prayer time.
