Welcome!

The Women’s Ministry team at North Kitsap Baptist Church created this site with hopes to provide more opportunity for us to connect with each other as we pursue God together. Take a look around to find groups to join, resources to use, and opportunities to serve as we engage in our journey to follow Christ. All of us on the team have a true desire to develop a ministry that will empower all of us to genuinely pursue God in the midst of everyday life. We know life is hectic, stressful and sometimes painful. We also know that we need each other as we take this journey. Please use this site to join us as we pursue God.

Pursuing God Together,

Kristine Vernon-Cole

What’s in my purse:
Bulging wallet with too many “club” cards, keys, cell phone that I still don’t know how to use, expired coupons, calendar, gum and Chap stick.

What’s on my heart:
It is my heart’s desire to empower the women of NKBC to be able to engage in a life changing journey with Christ. Life has a way of sometimes overpowering our relationship with God. It is my hope that Women’s Ministries at NKBC can make it easier to make God a part of every- day life as we pursue Him together.

Barb Thorsen

What’s in my purse:
A no-frills cell phone that only makes phone calls, a mirror that reflects my young heart and not my true age, and a Bible with “too small” print.

What’s on my heart:
A desire to see women connect in an inter-generational commitment that reflects the Titus 2 woman.

Cheri McPherson

What’s in my purse:
What’s in my purse – at least 2 pocket calendars to keep me “organized” (not electronic), my favorite tweezers to use while peering into the visor mirror, and all the little odds and ends that you just MUST have. :0)

What’s on my heart:
What’s in my heart- a strong desire for healthy marriages and for ladies to learn how to be the Helpmate that God has called all married women to be.

Debbie Tharp

What’s in my purse:
A bulging wallet that won’t close (it’s full of coupons, not cash), an unmarked calendar (I’m too busy to write in it), family pictures, my business cards, handcream, lipstick and a Steps to Peace with God track so I’m always prepared to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

What’s on my heart:
To let the women know how deeply they are loved and cherished. To bring women to a closer relationship with their DAD (Designer and All supreme Deliverer). To fall more in love with God’s Word. To discover the biblical truths, and put the unchanging principles of the Bible into daily action.

Sue Wolfe

What’s in my purse:
Cell phone that likes to call people on it’s own. Carmex, calendar too full to read, pictures of my beautiful grand daughters, a poem from my loving husband, and kleenex for when my heart overflows and my eyes leak.

What’s on my heart:
As a woman, I need women in my life. My sisters in Christ show me how to be the woman of Christ that I hope to be. Time and time again, God blesses me with His grace and encouragement through the women He brings along side of me. This is my prayer : May God bring Glory to Himself as He weaves the women of NKBC into a beautiful quilt that comforts, supports, & nurtures one another as we grow in Christ together.

Debbie Santiago

What’s in my purse:
It really depends on the day and destination but always the essentials- phone, wallet, keys and something to snack on.

What’s on my heart:
A desire for women to know God’s love for them. Although our strides vary, it is my hope that we walk together united in Christ, purposefully loving and encouraging one another to grow closer to Him.

Debbie Beggs

What’s in my purse:
I hardly carry a purse at all. Usually it’s just my wallet in my pocket along with keys and cell phone. I break it down to the very basics.

What’s on my heart:
Since I moved here away from all my family, I really needed to count on our church to be my family. I hope to have as many possible opportunites to get to know my Christian sisters as I can. Either in Bible studies, fellowship time, small groups or just a simple girl’s night out, let’s get together!

Kerri Siegenthaler

What’s in my purse:
My little purse helps keep me in check, so it holds just the basics! Wallet, phone, keys, brush and Burt’s Bees!

What’s on my heart:
Everyday I am more overwhelmed by God’s personal love for us. My heart’s desire is for women to know the one who is perfect in faithfulness, the Lord Jesus. He is true to His promises! I want women to grow in love for the Lord Himself, to grow in love for His word, and be empowered to love one another!
